Fomoco / Motorcraft 1V to Weber 34 ICH carburetor conversion kit.
If you own a 1967 - 1976 Ford Transit 1700 V4 with an aging FoMoCo / Motorcraft 1V carburetor, then you are probably very well aware of the fact that these carbs are slowly reaching the end of their working life and that refurbishing them is not really an option.
Fuel consumption will go up, power will go down and trying to set the idle speed will become a major challenge.
Luckily, you are not alone so the people at Weber set to work and have created this conversion kit.
With this set, the complete carburetor gets replaced with a brand new 34 mm Weber ICH carburetor with manual choke and 27mm venturi.
The kits comprises all required parts to complete this conversion:
- Weber 34 ICH carburetor suitable for the Ford Transit 1700
- Base Adapter + Gaskets
- Fuel line, filter and clips
- Air filter
- Fitting instruction in English
Please note that the carburetor is jetted specifically for the 1.700cc engine.
That means that his carburetor has the following specification:
- 27 mm choke (fixed)
- Needle valve size 175
- Emulsion tube F6
- Pump jet size 50
- Air corrector size 175
- Idle jet size 47
- Main jet size 155
- Auxiliary venturi type 3.5
